Stamps.com is a software and a service that allows users to print postage (approved by the United States Postal Service) with their personal computer and a printer. Stamps.com has several plans available that allow customers to purchase postage for a monthly fee. They have three different plans available:

Users can use Stamps.com to do everything they could do at the post office, including: shipping labels, padded envelopes, USPS shipping supplies and labels, and, of course, stamps!
Stamps.com was approved by the United States Postal Service in 1999 to sell postage via their website that customers could print from their home or office computers. They boast their postage is "80 percent cheaper than a traditional postage meter." All shipping rates are calculated during the checkout process. For orders over $50.00, basic shipping is free.
Stamps.com also allows you to order mailing and shipping supplies from the United States Postal Service via their website. All of these supplies are free, and there is no shipping charges for any of these items. Shipping typically takes 8 - 12 business days, however.
Stamps.com accepts all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express). Debit cards are accepted as long as they have the Visa or MasterCard logo on them, but it must be used as a credit card. PIN numbers can't be used. They do not accept Paypal, personal checks or money orders at this time.
If or any reason you are not happy with your purchase of mailing or shipping supplies from the Stamps.com store, you may return it unused in its original condition and packaging within 30 days of delivery. Any orders received after 30 days will not be refunded for any reason. All discounted and clearance sales are final. Shipping and handling fees are not refundable. NetStamps, Photo NetStamps, and PhotoStamps labels can only be returned if they have been unused and are in their original packaging. Partial label sheets will not be accepted. PhotoStamps are subject to the policies of the the party retailer and not Stamps.com.
